H2Optimize 99 Software Patches (Software Updates) From time to time any piece of software benefits from a little maintenance. Whether the maintenance adds or improves a desired feature, or if it corrects an unusual program behavior (bug), adding these patches can be of great benefit to the end user. Please review the following patches from the list below, and take any action you determine would be beneficial to your installation of H2Optimize. If any patch is marked as "required" or "recommended" in the priority field, please be advised that you should take the prescribed action. Patch 1: Correct Hydromatic Specification Operation When Using Microsoft Word 2000 Priority: required for users of the Hydromatic version Problem Description: The problem was encountered at a machine where Microsoft Office 2000 is installed. The following error message popped up when the user tried to open the Hydromatic Specifications for a selected pump.
No specification documents opened, even though the *.doc files (Word format document files) could be opened using Microsoft Word 2000. Cause of the Problem: The Hydromatic Specification portion of the software was checking only for the existence of Microsoft Word 97 on the machine. If Microsoft Word 97 exists on the machine, then it allowed the user to proceed. It was not checking for a higher version of Microsoft Word. Resolution: In order to resolve the above problem, a patch was written that checks for the existence of Microsoft Word 2000; if Microsoft Word 2000 exists, then the H2Optimize Hydromatic Specification program directs Word to open the specification documents. To implement the patch, click below where it's indicated to download the patch. Save the file to disk on your system. After the download process is complete, close all other open applications then locate the file in the Windows Explorer. Double click on the icon for the file, this should start the application's self extraction. Simply follow the online instructions to finish the process. Patch Details :
