Fairbanks Morse Achieves "No Lost Time" Milestone
March 13, 2001 - Kansas City, Kansas - Congratulations to the employees of Fairbanks Morse Pump for achieving one million work hours without a lost time injury. Currently over 260 workers are employed at Fairbanks Morse, involved in all aspects of pump production and sales. "This performance level is seldom achieved within the Pentair companies. You should take great pride in your accomplishment!" said Richard J. Cathcart, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Pentair Water Technologies segment.Injuries and illnesses that require recuperation away from work beyond the day of the incident have been on the decline in the United States since 1992, according to the U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics "Safety and Heath Statistics" program. "This has truly been a team effort," says Fairbanks Morse Human Resources Manager Mike Medhurst. "Safety has been and will continue to be a top priority."
The Fairbanks Morse manufacturing plant is located in Kansas City, Kansas, and is one of the world's premier pump manufacturers for municipal, industrial and fire protection applications. "The quality and dedication of the Fairbanks Morse personnel is directly attributable to our company's longevity, distinctive products, market leadership, customer service and workforce knowledge base," says Medhurst.
Congratulations to all on a job well done!
